NCEMA 7000:2021 Business Continuity Awareness Course - (For general understanding)
Business Continuity is mandatory by law, in the UAE, a direct contributor to National Resilience and National Security. All UAE entities in all sectors must implement BCM in compliance to the NCEMA 7000:2021 National Standard for Business Continuity Management System, which has been developed under the guidance and direction of the UAE government’s Supreme Council for National Security.. All organizations must endeavor to continue essential operations within a predefined minimum acceptable delivery levels of products and services. The
organization shall have a process for ensuring that all people under its
control have sufficient business continuity awareness.
Organization's wishing to meet the NCEMA 7000:2021's expectations can choose to have all their employees attend this course to get a high-level understanding of BCM expectations in the UAE. About the Course Designer
Dhiraj Lal, Executive Director of the multi-award winning Continuity and Resilience (CORE), has been practicing Business Continuity for almost 25 years. He has taught the DRI’s CBCP course in the past, and also the CBCI course for almost 10 years, as a BCI approved trainer. Backed by his MBA in Systems and Finance, and a degree in Chemical Engineering, he has done assignments across many sectors, such as Oil & Gas, BFSI, Infrastructure, Aviation, Manufacturing and many others. In his Corporate life, he worked with great brand names such as Citibank, Standard Chartered, Agilent and American Express (as the BCM Program Sponsor and Head). He is Asia’s first BSI appointed Technical Expert for BS25999/ ISO 22301 and assessed 2 of the top 10 certified organizations globally.
He teaches and consults in BCM/ ISO 22301 and related domains. He has been invited to present at the BCI Annual conference in the UK, DRI US, BCMI Singapore, itSMF UK, DRI Asia in Malaysia, ISACA UAE, and also various Crisis, BCM and IT Resilience Summits in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, KSA and India.
